QuickBooks Online Integration
The Tech Ally QuickBooks Online Integration is an internal business tool used by Tech Ally Inc. to retrieve its own accounting records from QuickBooks Online for reporting and analysis.
It is not a public product and is not offered or sold to customers. It connects to a single QuickBooks Online company — the one belonging to Tech Ally Inc.
What it does
- Reads accounting data — invoices, bills, payments, customers, vendors, and financial reports — from QuickBooks Online.
- Presents that data to authorized Tech Ally personnel for internal reporting.
What it does not do
- It does not write to QuickBooks Online. The integration runs read-only: functions that would create, modify, or delete records are disabled and are not available to it.
- It does not share, sell, or transmit accounting data to any third party.
- It does not connect to any QuickBooks company other than Tech Ally’s own.
How it runs
The integration runs locally on Tech Ally-managed workstations. It is not a hosted service, and there is no public sign-in page. Data retrieved from QuickBooks Online is used only to answer the request that prompted it.
Connecting and reconnecting
Authorization is performed by a Tech Ally administrator using Intuit’s OAuth 2.0 process, which requires an admin sign-in to the QuickBooks Online company. There is no self-service connection flow, because the integration serves one company only.
If the connection lapses — for example if authorization is revoked, or the integration sits unused long enough for its credentials to expire — a Tech Ally administrator re-authorizes it through the same Intuit OAuth process. No action is required from anyone else.
To arrange a connection or reconnection, contact Tech Ally at 506-799-5803.
Disconnecting
Access can be revoked at any time from within QuickBooks Online, under Settings → Manage Your Apps (also reachable at qbo.intuit.com/app/appmanagement), by selecting the integration and choosing Disconnect.
Once disconnected, the integration’s authorization is revoked immediately and it can no longer read any data from the QuickBooks Online company. Reconnecting requires a fresh administrator authorization, as described above.
Because the integration is read-only, disconnecting it does not alter, remove, or affect any records in QuickBooks Online. Your books are unchanged.
To request removal of any data previously retrieved, contact Tech Ally at 506-799-5803.
